STRI SHAKTI is a registered body and is one of the National and State level ISO 9000 – 2001 organization and are partners and promoters of Government welfare schemes at various states We have started our Mid-Day Meal Program from a small kitchen at Powai, Mumbai in the year 1992, and were with the distributing MDM to the school children of Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation. There were many Women with keen interest of cooking and other similar activities related to kitchen approached us. Keeping in mind their interest and to make them self dependent we have formed various Registered Self Help Groups. Now we have more than 70 Groups of working women and are engaged in schemes launched by Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
After the success of Mid-Day Meal program in Mumbai we got an invitation from Delhi Municipal Corporation for supply of mid-day meal at Delhi Schools. This way we moved ahead and reached to the Capital city of our Country. Delhi Govt. appreciated our work and now we are feeding around 3, 50,000 children in different schools of Delhi Municipal Corporation. With the achievement of Mid-Day Meal program at Mumbai & Delhi, Gujarat Govt. got influenced with our work and they invited us to supply food to the Municipal Schools of Ahemdabad and Valsad Dist. We are feeding more than 1,20,000 children's of Ahemdabad and around 87,000 children's in Valsad Dist. We have started with a small kitchen approx. 100 sq. ft. in Powai, Mumbai and now we are working in a big kitchen approx. 50,000 sq. ft. We are satisfied feeding to the school children. Wherever State Governments of India are facing problem in running mid-day meal programme, we are ready for taking the challenges.
